"I just wanted to tell you how much I love the wedding guide. I was so grateful when I first saw a copy of the May/June Juliette at a local salon a few weeks ago. I am in the very early planning stages and had no idea what wedding vendors were in the area. Thanks for putting together such a great resource!"

"Just wanted you to know that I thoroughly enjoyed the latest issue of "Juliette" ...had picked up a copy at Goodman's at the mall today and enjoyed reading articles relative to our wedding for Julie in O8! Thanks again for your dedication to the wedding newcomers."
AH, Mother of the Bride

The Story of Juliette Wedding Guide begins with a friendship. As co-workers at an area marketing firm, Amy Kent and Katie Rafko became fast friends. They also recognized that they worked well together on projects and sparked creativity in one another. A year after parting the firm, Amy called Katie with a business idea. Having grown up and planned her own wedding in the Chippewa Valley, Amy remembered wishing she had a resource of information for planning a local wedding. With their combined talents in graphic design, marketing and writing, and the help of their husbands and close friends, Juliette Wedding Guide was born.

Juliette has been in circulation since May 2005. Both Amy and Katie realize that planning a wedding is so much more than planning a day. It's planning a lifetime together. It's our goal that this publication will continue to evolve and become a comprehensive resource for planning a wedding and marriage in northwest Wisconsin. We give heartfelt thanks to our readers and advertisers–and to those yet to come. Without you, this publication would not be possible.

What's in a name? We are often asked how the name Juliette came about. It's simple: the love story between Romeo and Juliette. The underlying theme this Shakespearean classic is that true love lasts forever. For richer for poorer, in good times and bad, all couples should remember the fundamental reason they married... love.

"What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet." - William Shakespeare
